My photography class in school uses exclusively film. These photos are shot on Ilford 100 film and developed in a real 21st century dark room (thought to be extinct by many). The amount of focus and pre-planning that goes into shooting film is tenfold compared to digital. While taking 2,000 photos a day (which I have done) on a digital camera is literally free, film photography quickly becomes expensive. The limited resources lead to a more careful and thought out composition.
